Once you have acquired the Celestial Mirror, you can fight for the Ultimate Weapons. This is a hard task and you will need all your skills to win every of them. Take note that each Weapons comes with the no AP ability. That means that you cannot equip any abilities on them. To remove that, you will need to find two items for each characters. Those items can be a real pain in the head to get, but some of them are pretty easy to get. First, let's start with Tidus's Ultimate Weapon.

TIDUS Ultimate Weapon : CALADBOLG

First, to acquire that Weapon, you must head to the Calm Lands. Once you are there, find the Lady Chocobo and she will challenge you to do some tests. Complete them and you will need to race her. Beat her in that race and head to the northwest section of the Calm Lands to find a ramp that goes down. Notice that the guard that was standing there isn't there anymore. Examine the Glyph on the wall and unleash the power of your Celestial Mirror to acquire the Caladbolg.

Now you will need to get his special items. One of them is pretty easy to get and the other one is very HARD to get. Anyway, let's start with the easiest one.

SUN CREST :

The Sun Crest is found in the Zanarkand Ruins where you fought Yunalesca. It's located in a chest at the upper part of the ruins, just next to the stairs. Once you have it, it's time to find the hard one.

SUN SIGIL :

To get the second item, you need to face the Chocobo Trainer in the Calm Lands and score a time of 0:0.0, which is very hard to get. If you need help, you can check some strategies in the section talking about the Chocobos.

Once you have those two items, return where you obtained the Celestial Mirror and complete Tidus's ritual two times to obtain the maximum power of your Ultimate Weapon.

Abilities: [Break Damage Limit] + [Triple Overdrive] + [Evade & Counter] + [Magic Counter]

Name origin: The Caladbolg is a sword of Irish and Celtic myth that was so strong, it once cut a hill in half. Caladbolg can also be a generic name for any kind of death-dealing sword. In the Japanese version of Final Fantasy X, Tidus' ultimate weapon was called the Ultima Weapon, which starting with FFVI, there's been either a boss, or a weapon for the main character named this, or both, and the weapon has always done damage dependant on HP. In the English FFVI, it was translated as Atma. Caladbolg almost makes more sense, in a way, because it's not the typical white, pink, and purple gradiented design of the Ultima Weapon - it's blue and gold.

WAKKA Ultimate Weapon : WORLD CHAMPION

Return to the Café in Luca. Speak to the bartender and show her the Celestial Mirror. She will give you the World Champion ! If she doesn't give it to you, it's because you have not played Blitzball enough. Now, it's time to pick up Wakka's Items !

JUPITER CREST :

The Jupiter Crest is not really hard to win, just head in the Auroch's Locker Room and check in every locker. You should find it in no time.

JUPITER SIGIL :

The Jupiter Sigil is offered as a prize in blitzball League, but the only thing is that you need to have all of his previous Overdrives. That means, you need to have the Attack Reels, Status Reels and Aurochs Reels Overdrives.

Abilities: [Break Damage Limit] + [Triple Overdrive] + [Double AP] + [Evade & Counter]

Special Effects: Does more damage when Wakka's HP is full, and allows Ifrit to exceed 9,999 damage.

Name origin: Most of Wakka's weapons have sport-related names, so since you essentially need to become the Blitzball World Champion to obtain this, it's self-explanatory.

Once you have both of his items, head where you completed the ritual for Tidus to obtain his Ultimate Weapon at full power.

YUNA Ultimate Weapon : NIRVANA

To win Yuna's Ultimate Weapon, you need to capture every fiend in the Calm Lands Area. There is a total of nine that roams around there.

Here's the list of all of them :

Skoll, Flame Flan, Nebrios, Shred, Anacondour, Ogre, Chimera Brain, Malboro and Coeurl.

Once you got all of them, return to the Monster Arena and speak to the owner, he will make a treasure chest containing the Nirvana.

MOON CREST :

You can find the first item at Besaid Temple on the beach, I told you in the Walkthrough how to get that item, so if you followed it, you should already have it.

MOON SIGIL :

To win the Moon Sigil, you must defeat all of Belgimine's Aeon at the Remiem Temple, once you have done that, she will give you the Moon Sigil used to remove the no AP ability.

Abilities: [Break Damage Limit] + [Triple Overdrive] + [Double AP] + [One MP Cost]

Special Effects: Does more damage when Yuna's MP is full, and allows Valefor
to exceed 9,999 damage.

Name origin: In the Buddhist faith, Nirvana is a state of complete happiness and omniscience achieved after many reincarnations.

Now that you have all of her items, head to Macalania Woods where you got the Celestial Mirror and use it to activate her final Weapon.

AURON Ultimate Weapon : THE MASAMUNE

Auron's Ultimate Weapon is kind of complicated to get. First, I hope you have the Rusty Sword. This is a Key Item, so check in your inventory if you have it. If you don't return to the Calm Lands, where you defeated Defender X. Now, move to the right of the bridge and go down the ramp. You can acquire the Rusty Sword there. Once you have it, return to the Mushroom Rock Road and try to find a statue of Lord Mi'ihen. Examine it and you will get a message telling you if you want to insert the Rusty Sword. Select yes, and you will find a glyph. Examine it to acquire the Masamune.

Now it's time to find his items.

MARS CREST :

In a chest in the old part of Mi'ihen Highroad. To get there, go north on Mi'ihen Highroad until you reach the entrance of Mushroom Rock Road, then hang a U-turn and go south.

This one will take you a little more time. First of all, you need to unlock a combination of ten monsters at the Monster Arena. That means you must have a total of ten monsters in the Area Creations and Species Creations.

Abilities: [Break Damage Limit] + [Triple Overdrive] + [First Strike] + [Counterattack]

Special Effects: Does more damage when Auron's HP is depleted, and allows
Youjimbo to exceed 9,999 damage.

Name origin: All recent Final Fantasies have had a katana-type weapon called the Masamune. The name comes up a lot in video games and anime, and is derrived from a famous Japanese legend about a swordsmith named Masamune.Goro Nyudo Masamune lived during the late 13th to early 14th century, and was considered to be one of the - if not THE - greatest Japanese swordsmiths of all time. (Do not confuse Masamune with Muramasa or Murasame, as these are all completely different legends that have attained something of an "urban myth" status in video games and anime.) To further illustrate the historicalsignificance, a ronin is a samurai without a master; Auron was once a Guardian for Braska, but Braska no longer requires Auron's protection,therefore, Auron is a ronin. To keep one's left arm inside one's shirt, and carry a jug of sake at one's hip are both very ronin things to do.

LULU Ultimate Weapon : ONION KNIGHT

This one is pretty easy to get, first, go to Baaj Temple, it's a secret area. Then, go north and go underwater. Continue north and you will fight Geosgaeno again. Look in the Baaj Temple section to find how to defeat it. Anyway, once you have beaten it, search underwater and south of the circular area to find a treasure chest with the Onion Knight inside. Now it's time to get her two items !

VENUS CREST :

This one is pretty easy to get. With your airship, return to Guadosalam, now you need to go to the Farplane. Once you are there, you can pick up a chest for the Key Item.

VENUS SIGIL :

This one is hard AND frustrating :). Remember the Thunder Plains where you needed to press the X Button to dodge the lightning ? Good, return there and this time, you need to dodge the lightning 200 times WITHOUT being hit. It's pretty tough. The bad thing about that is that you cannot save, so if you're at 150 and you want to save, you can't! Anyway, once you have done it, you'll need to return to Rin's Travel Agency and open the chest there for the last Item.

Abilities: [Break Damage Limit] + [Triple Overdrive] + [Magic Booster] + [One MP Cost]

Special Effects: Does more damage when Lulu's MP is full, and allows Shiva to exceed 9,999 damage.

Name origin: All of Lulu's dolls are from previous Final Fantasies (Moogle, Cait Sith, Cactuar, Pupu, Moomba), and the Onion Knight is no exception. It's an onion kid from Final Fantasy IIIj. Frankly from the name, I was expecting it to be Duelle from Legend of Mana, but this isn't Seiken Densetsu...

Now that you have all of her items, head to Macalania Woods where you got the Celestial Mirror and use it to activate her final Weapon.

KIMAHRI Ultimate Weapon : SPIRIT LANCE

Okay, this one is pretty easy to get, first, head to the Thunder Plains, then you will need to activate three glowing Qactuar stones that are there. To activate the stones, simply press the Square button in front of it and you will see the spirit of the Qactuar released. Now, once you have activated three stones, go to Thunder Plains South (just check the location in your menu), and follow the Qactuar ghost into a lightning tower on your right. You will reveal a chest containing Kimahri's Ultimate Weapon. Now it's time to get the two items !

SATURN CREST :

Remember when you fought Seymour on Mt.Gagazet ? Just go north from where you have fought him to see some columns, check between the columns on the left side and you will find a chest with the Saturn Crest.

SATURN SIGIL :

You will need to do the butterfly mini-game at Macalania Woods to get the Saturn Sigil. Just look in the Butterfly Section below. Anyway, you will need to capture every blue butterflies there. Please take note that you cannot touch any red ones. Once you have completed the mini-game, open the treasure chest for the Saturn Sigil.

Abilities: [Break Damage Limit] + [Triple Overdrive] + [Double AP] + [Evade & Counter]

Special Effects: Does more damage when Kimahri's HP is full, and allows Ixion to exceed 9,999 damage.

Name origin: Just a silly name cooked up by Square's translators after eating too much Pocky. In the Japanese FFX, Kimahri's ultimate weapon was called Longinus, which is the name of the Roman soldier who pierced Christ's side with his spear. The metaphor of a spear that could pierce the divine is lost in the English translation.

Now that you have all of his items, head to Macalania Woods where you got the Celestial Mirror and use it to activate his final Weapon.

RIKKU Ultimate Weapon : THE GODHAND

First, go in your Airship and talk to Cid. You should see the World Map. Go to the input section on the menu and input the password GODHAND to open a new location on the world map called the Mushroom Rock. Go there, and at the end of the path, you will see a chest containing the Godhand. Now, time to find her items !

MERCURY CREST :

You can pick up the Mercury Crest in a chest located in the Sanubia Desert West. Look in a Whirlpool for the chest, you shouldn't have any problem picking it up.

MERCURY SIGIL :
Sanubia Desert, in a treasure chest in the area protected by a sandstorm. To get rid of the sandstorm, you need to play a hide-and-seek minigame with the Cactuars after you can control the airship. (You can examine the Cactuar glyph during your first visit to Sanubia Desert, but again, you cannot play the minigame until you have the airship.) First, let's get our bearings... Sanubia Desert is divided into four screens:

(1) The oasis with the save point.
(2) The winding path with the save point inside a tent.
(3) The huge open area with the ruins to the northwest and the save point next
to the large Al Bhed sign in the middle.
(4) The area right before Home with the sandstorm, Cactuar glyph, antlion

Special Effects: Does more damage when Rikku's HP is full, no effect on Aeons.

Name origin: The God Hand was one of Tifa's best weapons in Final Fantasy VII, also known as Secret of Mana 2, another Square game. The name also appears in Ehrgeiz, another Square game, where Godhand is a playable character with a gun arm.
