Demon of the Sand -
Angra
Mainyu is the most powerful boss in Final Fantasy X-2. I myself has defeated
it at level 76 using all 99 of my hi potions to make mega potions by mixing
using alchemist dressphere. I defeated it not playing a New game plus. So continue
reading to see what strategy I use to defeat this huge fiend.
A legendary fiend that sleeps beneath the sand has attacked the camp! This is
it, Gullwings! Let's go!
He
has three targets: Angra Mainyu, Tawrich and Zarich. This are the informations
you can get when you scan him using your Magic Gunner:

Angra Mainyu -
Demi - reduces HP by 1/4. All targets.
Flare - strong non-elemental magic. Usually kills a non-shelled character. Single
target.
Bio - poisons a character. Single target.
Curaga - adds 2000+ HP to either Tawrich or Zarich.
Full-Life - regenerates dead parts to full HP
Osmose - he'll use this to suck your MP.
Perdition's Flame - multi-hit, non-elemental attack. The killer move. Random,
all targets.
- I think he only uses this when Tawrich & Zarich are both alive.
- Oh no! This is a physical attack!

Tawrich -
Physical Attack - physical attack, single target.
Bloody Breath - deals small non-elemental damage with Darkness, Silence, Poison
and random Confusion. All targets.

Zarich -
Firaga - fire-elemental magic, single target
Blizzaga - ice-elemental magic, single target
Thundaga - lightning-elemental magic, single target
Glimmer of Despair - multi-hit, random MP damage. Lowers character stats. All
targets.

is how I go, Make sure you have 99 Hi Potions before the battle.

Before
the Battle

Yuna -
Get
Yuna on a white mage dressphere, before the battle and remember to have an alchemist
Dressphere equip in your garment grid. Master both these dressphere. For short
mastering read the secrets section. Equip a Crystal Bangle and a Crystal Gloves
on Yuna. This will enhance her with HP+100% and DEF+60.

Rikku -
Get
Rikku on a Death Knight Dressphere, Master Death Knight Dressphere and equip
Kaiser Knuckles and a Tetra Bracelet on. Thus this will enhance her with STR+50
and Tetra Eater, which change all fire, ice, water and lightning attack damage
to healing.

Paine -
Master
both Berserker Dressphere and Death Knight Dressphere. Get on with the Berserker
Dressphere first. Equip her with Crystal Bangle and Kaiser Knuckles. This will
enhance her with HP+100% and STR+50.
Battle
Time!

Yuna -
Yuna
is in charge healing the party members through out the battle. Thus alchemist
and white mage is required. Equip with the White Mage Dressphere on at the start
of the battle cast: Shell and protect and reflect. And change her to alchemist
once your done. Do not cast any white magic on your party member after you cast
reflect. Now on Alchemist Dressphere, have some item like Star Curtain, Healing
Spring, Stamina Spring and Chocobo Feather or Wing to mix for haste on your
party members. Keep mixing 2 Hi Potions together for a Mega Potion and this
will save your party for being dead and some good defense like shell and protect
as well as your Accessories helping you. Mix a Final Wall or a Hi Wall if your
shell and protect goes out. If your really dying out mix a Star Curtain with
a mega elixir to get a Final Elixir that will get your party member to the fullest.

Rikku -
Keep
using Darkness that will deal all of them at least 3000+ damage and Rikku is
not afraid of Confusion and Poison if you master your Dark Knight Dressphere.
The best part is Rikku is totally immune to every attack by Zarich! Don’t
even care for Tawrich -Bloody Breath attack it deals Darkness, Silence, Poison
and random Confusion. Darkness is not a spell nor a physical attack so Darkness
and Silence can’t harm you.

Paine -
On
the Berserker dressphere, this require a lot of training for strength, I deal
9999 every turn on Angra Mainyu when I hit the Mad Rush, but Angra Mainyu will
quickly use Osmose. Hence you will need to change to Dark Knight Dressphere.
And with cast darkness together with Rikku that will deal around 3000+ depending
on your strength.
Keep
using this cycle and Angra Mainyu will be gone in 35 – 40 minutes time.
If you wish to have a status effect taken away from you mix two Remedy together
to get Panacea that have Remedy on all party members in a turn. Do not waste
unnecessary turn on your party member or you will be game over in a while. To
have a safe win get your party to level 80 and your good enough to get that
