Here are some Final Fantasy VII Secrets. Some are being taken in strategy books others are in the Internet. If you wish to submit a secret to us please feel free to Email me. Your email account will be display according.

Exchange gils for GP :
Sometimes, a man will appear near the Save Point in the Gold Saucer. You exchange 100 gils for 1 GP but you can only buy 100 GP.

Key to sector 5 :
After meeting the guy in front of the Sector 5 gate in the 2nd or 3rd disc, go to the bone village. Ask for a normal treasure to dig for to get the key. There's not much to do in Midgar, except that you can get Tifa's Level 4 Limit Break and you can buy a Sneak Glove for 129000 gil from the guy who sold you batteries in disc 1. You can also see Aeris in her church for about a second.

All Lucky 7's :
If one of your characters have exactly 7777 HP, they will never miss and always attack for 7777 HP. The only thing is that after the battle, the character has only 1 HP.

W-Item cheat :
If you have 2 items of the same type, you can get as many as you want using the W-Item. You have to select it, use it, select it again and cancel it. The number of of that item will be increased by 1. You can do this until you get 99.

Gaining Gil:
Early in the game, Gil is limited. Here are a few ways of gaining additional Gil. Ethers aren't vitally important in the game. It's alot cheaper sleeping at a hotel to restore your MP instead of using an Ether. Sell your Ethers, but keep one or two in reserve, just in case. Each Ether sold gives you 750 Gil.
When you first get your ALL materia in the game, attempt to Master it quickly. Give it to a person equipped with an AP-doubling weapon. By the 2nd disc you would have hopefully mastered this materia and sell it for 1,400,000 Gil. Do this, and you've got it made for the rest of the game. If you have little sentimental value for old weapons and armor, these can be sold too. However, some weapons can only be found once and not be bought, so if you sell them, they disappear permanently. As a note, it would be best to keep old weapons that double your AP or have many materia slots. So sell mainly weapons that are useless why keep them if you can use them to help you. If you want to be super cheap, consider sleeping at places that restore your HP and MP for free. Aeris' House in Midgar and the house in Junon are such examples.

Walk Forever:
When leaving or entering an area (not on the world map) press [Menu] just after the screen goes dark. unpause and you'll still be in the same area as before, but you can continue walking outside the normal bounds of the screenwould have brought you to the next screen.

Unlimited Items:
This trick requires the W-Item materia. The materia is obtained after your party parachutes back into Midgar in Disc 3. After entering the subway tunnels in Sector 8, your party may walk away from the screen and encounter the Turks, or walk towards the screen to reach another subway section. Select the second choice and follow the subway tunnel until it ends at a dead end with the W-Item materia. Equip the materia on the character with the item to be duplicated. When a battle begins, select the W-Item entry on the battle menu, select an unimportant item and use it on any character. On the second item choice, select the item to be duplicated by pressing Circle, then press X to cancel your selection and increase the number of that item in inventory. Repeatedly press Circle followed by X to accumulate 99 of the duplicated item. Note: This will only duplicate item selectable in battle and can not be used to duplicate the various sources, materia, weapons, or armor.

Kick Ruby weapon butt:
When you feel you are ready to go and face the awesome ruby weapon, be sure to have Cait Sith in you team. "But why, he is s*#^" I can hear you crying. Well Cait Sith is the only character that can annihilate the mighty beast with ease. Before entering the battle make sure you have Cait Sith limit break ready to use and that you have equipted his level 2 limit 'slots'. Also kill off your two other characters to make sure Cait Sith is not killed straight away with 'rubys quick sand' attack. When ready enter the battle, and select Cait Siths limit slots, now, you have to line up the 3 parts of Cait Siths face to cause instant death to all enemies, but be warned that lining up 2 parts of his face and a bar will cause your team instant death. This can be hard to pull off, but keep trying. The benefit of this is saving hours trying to beat the giant beast the hard way.
